What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is Australia’s first national Scheme for people with disability. It provides funding directly to individuals, offering choice and control over how, when, and where their supports are provided.

  • Is HYPAR WILD an NDIS provider?

    Yes, HYPAR WILD is a registered NDIS provider, meaning NDIS participants can utilise their plans and funds to access our services.

  • Prices

    HYPAR WILD activities are billed in line with NDIS price guide recommendations. Please contact us and we will provide you with a quote based on the participants interests and goals.

    NDIS and Child Safety participants can access our services using their plan, with fee-for-service and private funding options also available. Based on your circumstances, we can help recommend further funding options, like Carer Gateway, so please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss your options!

    If you’re already accessing other HYPAR services, HYPAR WILD is available to you through your current HYPAR plan.

Camping, rock climbing, abseiling, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, mountain biking, bushwalking, and heaps more.

Yes. Participants are supervised by mentors at all times while on activity, with 1:1 support available. 

Group day activities can vary from 2 to 10 participants, with weekend camps varying from 1 to 3 participants and a 1:1 support model.

We support participants of all abilities from beginner to expert.

Yes, HYPAR WILD provides service to both males and females.

Depending on the activity, you may need different things (a list of what to bring for each activity will be provided in your starter pack), however, sun-smart clothing, water and a packed lunch are generally required across all activities. HYPAR WILD provides all equipment for each activity.

Participants must be at least 7 years of age to engage in activities.

HYPAR WILD currently operates from the southside of Brisbane up to the Sunshine Coast, and the surrounding South East Queensland region.

Not always. Some activities may only run for 4 hours while others will be a full day.

Camps currently run from 4pm Friday until 4pm Sunday.

Adventure therapy is an emerging form of therapy that seeks to engage participants in therapeutic activities in the outdoors, utilising activities such as abseiling, kayaking and mountain biking. The purpose of adventure therapy is not the activity itself, rather the learning opportunities provided by the activities and being out in nature. 

Desired outcomes include the development of personal responsibility, cooperation and relationship building, intrapsychic outcomes, social skill acquisition, psychological resilience, and personal growth attributes such as self-awareness, self-efficacy and self-confidence.

No, other options are available. Child Safety (*respite care) participants can also access our service, with fee-for-service and private funding options also available. Based on your circumstances, we can help recommend further funding options, like Carer Gateway, but please contact us and we will be happy to discuss your options!

All staff are trained in Complex Trauma Adventure Therapy principles and hold relevant qualifications to be able to run their respective activities.

No. We have female instructors also.

We cater for people with all sorts of abilities. All participants are required to engage with our assessment process after which we will advise if we are able to safely and effectively provide service to the participant.

No. HYPAR WILD activities are accessible to all members of the community.
